Pennsylvanian
It's official, I am now a Pennsylvanian. I have begun talking like them. When I hear myself start to say something in the tones that they use it's like I can't stop myself. So I gave in and stopped trying. I'm sorry Michigan.
Last weekend was the fall festival that our church puts on annually. It was such a fun time! Don's parents ran a game for kids to win candy. There were all kinds of festivities going on, like hay rides, singing, and different games to play. There was lots of food to eat like mountain pies, chili in a bag and caramel apples. We hung around mostly with a few friends and Don's parents watching the kids dig for candy. I got to meet and hold our friends Ray and Dorcas' new baby boy. It was so sweet to cuddle him close. I miss babies, especially my nephew Jude. I think I might have to start volunteering in nursery at church to help fill the void Jude left when he went to Papua New Guinea with his parents.
For our Fridate this week Don and I went to Selinsgrove and ate some amazing Chinese food and then saw a great movie! We watched RED (Retired, Extremely Dangerous) with Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman. It was so funny and had a decent plot to it. I was happy because I can't remember anything bad in it, which is so rare to find in movies lately. We're not sure why, but we think it was our most fun date yet. We had a great time.
Don's birthday is coming up and we're trying to think of something fun to do. :) We're both excited to go to Michigan in a few weeks for Thanksgiving. It'll be good to see my side of the family and lots of friends. :)
That's all for now!
